As I posted before, Sydney would rather have mommy put her to bed instead of daddy. Once I take her to her room she’s fine with me putting her to bed, but after her bath she clings to mommy and fusses if I try to take her to her room.
Tonight was different though – we finished her bath and I was walking over to take her to her room (expecting her to fuss because she wanted mommy). She reached out to me and said, “Daddy”. Emily asked, “You want Daddy to put you to bed tonight?”, and Sydney nodded her head. She came to me, I brought her into her room and put her to bed.
It’s quite a proud feeling to be the preferred parent!
